Management Team

Nuffield Australia has a team of dedicated staff drawing on a diverse mix of experience, education and knowledge.
 

Jodie Redcliffe, Interim CEO (From March 2019)

Jodie has been interim CEO since March 2019 and is looking forward to working with alumni, investors and key stakeholders to grow the reach and transformative power of Nuffield in Australian agriculture. Prior to this, Jodie held numerous positions within the chicken industry, most recently as the President of the Australian Chicken Grower Council. Jodie was also President and Executive Officer for Queensland Chicken Growers Association and sat on the Australian Chicken Meat Federation, the industry’s peak body. Jodie and her husband Wayne operated a commercial broiler farm in for 27 years. In 2017, they sold their farm, and purchased their dream property in Northern NSW, with an Angus breeder operation and agritourism venture. Jodie is a 2013 Scholar whose report was titled “Something to Crow About: What can poultry farmers do to answer consumer perceptions and pressures facing our industry?’ Jodie has been heavily involved with Nuffield as Queensland State Chair, a member of the Programs Committee and foundation host of the Japan leg of the GFP. This role is a real passion of Jodie’s, marrying her ability to speak Japanese with her interest in continuous agricultural learning.

 

Jodie Dean, Chief Executive Officer (On Maternity Leave from March 2019)

Jodie has been Chief Executive Officer of Nuffield Australia since May 2016. She manages all aspects of the annual scholarship program, scholarship investment, corporate partnerships, financial management, governance and Alumni engagement. Prior to Nuffield, Jodie spent three years as Operations Manager at Grain Trade Australia (GTA), where she supported the Board and Technical Committees on issues relating to trading standards, contracts, transport, storage & ports, GM, trade and market access. She also administered the GTA Dispute Resolution Service and coordinated events and communication activities. From 2013-2016 she was Senior Manager – Agricultural Development at the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW where she oversaw industry partnerships, education programs and “Youth in Ag’ leadership development during the Sydney Royal Easter Show and year round. Before joining the RAS, Jodie’s was based in central west NSW in varied roles focused on applied research and extension in cropping and mixed farming systems. This included working across the Grain & Graze Program, NSW DPI, Lachlan Catchment Management Authority and Central West Farming Systems where she concluded her tenure as CEO.

 

Nicola Raymond, Program Operations Manager

Nicola is a UK Nuffield Farming Scholar who brings a decade of experience from her career in the agri-food industry in the UK. Nicola has been in a communications support role with Nuffield Australia since 2010 and was the Event Coordinator for the 2011 Nuffield International Conference. A farmers’ daughter from Wales, Nicola was formerly the General Manager of the Welsh Meat Company, a farmer cooperative of 700 producer-members. She has lived in Australia since 2007 and was senior consultant for Currie Communications in Melbourne, where her clients included Dairy Australia and Meat & Livestock Australia. She has also been the Executive Officer of Lucerne Australia, the peak industry body for the lucerne seed industry in Australia. In 2010, she also graduated from RMIT University (Melbourne) with a PR Certificate. Nicola is passionate about agriculture and working on behalf of primary producers.

 

Basia Dziedzic, Executive Support Officer

Basia joined Nuffield Australia in February 2019 as the Executive Support Officer. She comes from a diverse career background, including construction, corporate, Federal Government and numerous not-for-profit sectors. Her career started in the university sector, in the Business Department at University of Technology Sydney (UTS), overseeing the word processing typing pool. She then moved into the International Department liaising with overseas students. For many years she was part of the Commercial Department of Sydney Airport Corporation, mainly responsible for staff car parking for all airport tenants as well as the airport transfer busing contract. Her experience in the not-for-profit industries includes Manager Corporate Services at The Crowle Foundation, managing volunteers at The Exodus Foundation and Customer Relationship Coordinator at Foodbank NSW. Most recently, Basia was Business Support, Administration & HR Officer at Yara Australia, a global crop nutrition chemical and environmental solutions. In her spare time loves to snorkel, mountain bike ride and race on an F2 sidecar as a passenger.

 

Annette Votteler, Finance Manager

Annette  joined the Nuffield Australia team in July 2017 in the capacity of Finance Manager. Annette earned a Bachelor of Accounting from Stellenbosch University in South Africa and has held various finance roles over the last 15 years, starting her career as a Bursary and Scholarship Clerk at a South African University. She has lived and worked in South Africa, China, Ireland, the UK and Germany, before settling in Australia in 2014 and starting her bookkeeping company in Sydney. When Annette isn’t organising money matters, she can be found camping and bushwalking in National Parks.

 

 

 

Theo Howell, Website Development and Graphic Design

Theo is an independent web developer and programmer who has been working with Nuffield since 2010. Responsible for the development and maintenance of Nuffield International online database he has helped make the web portal an actively used resource for scholars and managers alike. He is also responsible for the upkeep of Nuffield Australia’s website. Theo’s professional career as a software and website developer started at the turn of the century, first working for a firm that produced products for large retail chains and advertising agencies before breaking out on his own nine years later. He now oversees websites and systems for customers over a variety of different industries including agricultural, medical, printing, clothing, construction and manufacturing.


Chontell Giannini, Travel Coordinator

Chontell has worked at ITravel Griffith since January 1997. She completed her certificate III in travel and tourism in 1996 and received the award for highest results. Since working at Jetset she has been awarded Top 20 Consultant Australian Wide for Contiki sales and has been awarded several positions on familiarisation trips due to high sales.  Over the past few years, she has focused heavily on corporate travel, and manages numerous accounts both locally and interstate, as a result she specialises in fare construction. She has been assisting Nuffield with their travel arrangements since 2003 and enjoys the challenges it offers.
