Our National Conference is the highlight of the Nuffield calendar. It is the main meeting point for scholars, investors and the broader agricultural industry and is a high-profile forum for the announcement of newly selected scholars and public presentation of returning scholar research.
Following COVID19 delays, the 2022 and 2023 Nuffield Scholars will present the findings of their scholarship research at the Grand Chancellor Hotel in Launceston in September and the event is open for everyone to attend.

REGIONAL TOUR
Details for our regional tour will be available soon, but we guarantee it will be an incredible two days of diverse farm visits across Northern Tasmania. Attendees will return to Launceston on Thursday night, so no need to check out of your accommodation after the conference. Ticket prices for the regional tour will be reflective of booking your own accommodation.
The tour will conclude in Launceston at 6pm on Friday the 6th September. There will be a drop off to the Launceston airport on Friday night, or alternatively, you can book your accommodation for the entire week at the same place to include Friday night before returning home, or taking a few extra days to see what beautiful Tasmania has to offer.

WEATHER
The weather in Launceston is fairly mild throughout the year, with the occasional sub-zero temperatures during the winter months.
You can expect cool temperatures during the day in September. The average maximum daytime temperature in Launceston in early September lies at 13.3°C (56°F). The average minimum temperature goes down to around 3.8°C (39°F) but the sun's UV rays can still be quite high so ensure you apply sunscreen before going outside.
In Launceston, the chance of a wet day over the course of September is essentially constant, remaining around 33% throughout the month.
Rainfall during September is moderate with an average of 71mm (2.8 inches).
