New Nuffield Australia CEO

Nuffield Australia (NA) is pleased to announce their new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is Jodie Dean.

Most recently the Operations Manager at Grain Trade Australia (GTA), Ms Dean has an extensive understanding of rural and regional issues, and is passionate about Australia’s food and fibre industries.

Ms Dean has very strong communication, marketing and event management skills as well as broad industry networks which will serve her well in her new role with Nuffield.

She takes over the prestigious role from Jim Geltch, who started as the NA CEO in 2005 and was last year appointed as the first full time CEO of Nuffield International.

“It’s an absolute honour to follow in Jim’s footsteps, encouraging young primary producers, managers and investors to become involved in a farming scholarship program that’s enriched Australia’s entire ag sector,” Ms Dean said.

“I see this as a marvellous opportunity to join a dynamic and well respected organisation, and look forward to being closely involved with the most innovative young minds in Australian agriculture.

“I’m excited about this new challenge and the wonderful opportunities it will provide.”

Nuffield Board chairman Andrew Johnson said he’s confident Ms Dean will continue to build on the legacy left by Jim Geltch.

“The quality of applicants for this position was extremely high and we are confident Jodie has the right qualities to continue the development of this fantastic organisation,” Mr Johnson said.

“With her appetite for agriculture and experience in various management roles, as well as her strong connections within Australian agriculture, the board is looking forward to working with Jodie.”

Ms Dean starts in her new role as CEO on 9 May.
